The Smithereens Portland Concert reviews
Lots of Fun
My husband and I both enjoyed the production, with Lord Farquaad's role being a highlight for me, as he was incredibly funny in every scene. The set design was also incredible, very well done, and the whimsical costumes added to the fun. The witty lines of the donkey and "Gingy" were a hit with my 7-year-old son.
I gave it less than 5 stars because I found the show a bit too long. I thought at least 5 songs could've been cut, as for every 5 minutes there was a song. In my opinion, the show, which is about 2.5 hours long, is kind of lengthy for a child if there's too much singing. However, my husband, a musical lover, believed all the songs were necessary, so it's subjective.
We're pleased we all went!
